November is when Netflix starts the holidays early — and this year the Christmas movies are only half the story. Alongside a weekly run of new holiday films, November 2026 brings the final season of The Empress, Keira Knightley back in Black Doves Season 2, Julia Garner headlining the FTX drama The Altruists, a Jessica Chastain thriller, and live NFL football. Below is every release worth watching that Netflix has confirmed so far, grouped by week. One honest note up front: this list covers confirmed announcements as of mid-October 2026, and Netflix always adds more. We will keep updating it as new titles get dates.
Week 1: November 1–7
- Richard Jewell (Nov 1) — Clint Eastwood’s drama about the security guard who found the bomb at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and was then treated as a suspect. Paul Walter Hauser stars, with Sam Rockwell and Kathy Bates.
- Mistletoe Murders, Seasons 1–2 (Nov 1) — Sarah Drew plays a Christmas-shop owner in a small town who keeps solving local murders. Cozy mystery with a holiday backdrop.
- The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Nov 1) — The family comedy about the worst kids in town hijacking a church Christmas play. Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, and Lauren Graham lead the cast.
- St. Denis Medical, Season 2 (Nov 3) — The hospital mockumentary returns, following the overworked staff of an underfunded Oregon hospital.
- Will Trent, Seasons 1–4 (Nov 3) — The full run of the GBI crime procedural lands at once — an easy multi-week binge if you missed it on broadcast.
- A Dog’s Perfect Christmas (Nov 4) — The first of Netflix’s new 2026 holiday movies. Based on the novel by W. Bruce Cameron (author of A Dog’s Purpose), it follows a teenager, her grandfather, and his basset hound Winstead trying to hold their family together at Christmas. Dennis Quaid, Milo Ventimiglia, Jennifer Tilly, and Mary Steenburgen star, with Thomas Haden Church voicing Winstead.
- Black Doves, Season 2 (Nov 5) — Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw return in the British spy thriller, with Helen’s double life getting more dangerous as her husband closes in on becoming Prime Minister.
- North of North, Season 2 (Nov 5) — The Canadian Arctic comedy is back, with Siaja building her next chapter in Ice Cove.
- Possible Love (Nov 6) — Acclaimed Korean director Lee Chang-dong (Burning) returns with a drama about two married couples whose lives collide during the filming of a documentary. Jeon Do-yeon and Cho Yeo-jeong star. A Venice premiere and one of the month’s prestige picks.
- Carolina Caroline (Nov 6) — Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner in a Southern Gothic lovers-on-the-run crime thriller.
Week 2: November 8–14
This is the month’s stacked week: two of the biggest premieres land a day apart, the holiday movie run hits its stride, and the final season of one of Netflix’s most-watched international series arrives alongside them.
- The Good Lawyer (Nov 9) — A French legal drama about a brilliant defense attorney (Laurent Lafitte) fresh out of rehab, with one week to prepare for the trial that decides his career.
- Last One Standing, Season 4 (Nov 10) — The Japanese unscripted competition where comedians have to survive inside a scripted drama without breaking character.
- The Body, Season 1 (Nov 11) — The month’s buzziest new series. Created by Quinn Shephard, this eight-episode teen psychodrama follows a Catholic school dance team whose initiation ritual goes wrong, sparking prophetic visions and mass hysteria in their town. Kristina Bogic, Sara Boustany, and Sofia Wylie star, with Gabby Windey as Coach Miller.
- Tyler Perry’s The Gospel of Christmas (Nov 11) — Perry writes and directs this musical holiday drama about a struggling pastor who inherits his family’s church in a broken New York neighborhood. Fantasia Barrino stars, alongside gospel legends Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, and The Clark Sisters.
- Avedon (Nov 11) — Ron Howard directs this documentary on Richard Avedon, the photographer who reshaped 20th-century portraiture and fashion imagery.
- The Christmas Switch (Nov 12) — A Swedish romantic comedy joining the holiday lineup — the one international entry in Netflix’s Christmas movie run this year.
- The Empress, Season 3 (Nov 12) — The third and final season of the German period drama. Devrim Lingnau’s Elisabeth faces a marriage on thin ice, a husband returned scarred from war, and a court determined to control her, across six closing episodes. One of Netflix’s biggest non-English hits bows out here.
- Heartland (Nov 13) — Jessica Chastain stars as a former country music star pulled out of decades of seclusion to search for her missing niece in Nashville’s underbelly. Garrett Hedlund and Ross Lynch co-star.
Week 3: November 15–21
- Guarding Stars (Nov 18) — The holiday movie with the biggest names attached. Leighton Meester plays a no-nonsense bodyguard hired to protect an action star (Jared Padalecki) over the holidays, posing as his girlfriend at his family’s ranch. It adapts Katherine Center’s novel The Bodyguard, and Andie MacDowell also stars.
- Gentle Monster (Nov 18) — Léa Seydoux in an Austrian psychological drama about a concert pianist whose fresh start in the countryside collapses when police arrive with a search warrant for her husband.
- The Altruists (Nov 19) — A limited series dramatizing the rise and fraudulent collapse of crypto exchange FTX. Julia Garner plays Caroline Ellison opposite Anthony Boyle as Sam Bankman-Fried. Expect this one to dominate the conversation the week it lands.
- Steps (Nov 20) — An animated musical comedy, executive produced by Amy Poehler, about two overlooked stepsisters setting out to find their own happily ever after.
Week 4: November 22–30
Thanksgiving week leans on live football and returning favorites. Netflix is using the holiday — when more people are home and in front of a TV than almost any other week of the year — to put its live-sports experiment in front of the biggest possible audience, and to bring back one of its most talked-about soapy dramas.
- NFL Gameday: Packers vs. Rams (Nov 25) — Live football on Netflix: Green Bay against Los Angeles in an exclusive broadcast, right in the heart of Thanksgiving week.
- The Mosquito Bowl (Nov 25) — Peter Berg directs this true-story drama about four college football stars who enlisted in the Marines after Pearl Harbor and played one legendary game before the invasion of Okinawa.
- The Hunting Wives, Season 2 (Nov 26) — The Texas socialite murder-soap returns on Thanksgiving Day, with Sophie and Margo on the outs and old secrets pulling them back in.
- The Hunchback, Soul of Paris (Nov 27) — Vincent Cassel plays Quasimodo in a dark reimagining of Victor Hugo’s classic, set in 1830s Paris during a cholera outbreak.
The November Releases Worth Clearing Your Schedule For
If you only watch five things, make it these. The Body (Nov 11) is the new series most likely to break out — teen horror with a Carrie and Jennifer’s Body lineage and a trailer that has been circulating for weeks. The Altruists (Nov 19) is the prestige play, with Julia Garner in the kind of role that collects awards nominations. Black Doves Season 2 (Nov 5) is the safe bet for returning-series quality. The Empress (Nov 12) closes out a genuine global hit. And for the holiday-movie crowd, Guarding Stars (Nov 18) has the cast and the source novel to be this year’s Christmas rom-com winner, with A Dog’s Perfect Christmas (Nov 4) as the family pick.
