Social media was invented with an idea to connect people from across the globe on a unified platform. But, over the years the influence of social media has grown on us and we tend to adapt the trends and the fashions that are suggested to us on social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and even YouTube. Even your dressing style and latest fashion trends can get influenced by social media, as it does its duty of connecting the people to what’s new.
Durofy team got the chance to speak to Stefani Romagnoli, a well renowned social media influencer in the field of fashion and trends. In an interview with Stefani Romagnoli, she revealed her inspiration behind being an influencer and her success mantra.
Here is a short bio of Stefani,
Stefani Romagnoli runs her blog StefaniRoma when she’s not keeping up with the Kardashians, catching up on tweets, or posting pictures to her Instagram account. As a die-hard sports fan, she loves being able to immerse herself in the fashion industry, helping to create the latest merchandise for sports teams across the country. Originally from San Francisco, Stefani moved to Los Angeles to be in the crowd she knew she was meant to be in. In her free time, she is an active cyclist, selfie taker, and TMZ reader.
Durofy: How do you manage to motivate and influence people around you?
Stefani: I think through my Instagram I can come off as conceited and self-absorbed, but that’s really not who I am in real life. I try to be kind and generous is every way possible. I remember walking past a homeless person with my friend and he asked if we had any change. Unfortunately, we didn’t, but I answered him back and gave a smile, whereas my friend just walked away. When we were far enough I told her ignoring him might make him feel like he doesn’t exist and nobody wants to feel that way. Even a smile goes a long way in life. I hope I influence people with the little things like that. I think that most important quality someone can have nowadays is compassion and just awareness of people in other situations.

D: How does Instagram impact your life?
Stefani: Instagram impacts my life more than it probably should. I get to keep up with the latest trends and of course, it lets me follow my favorite celebrities and friends, but it also makes me more aware of how people perceive me. I have friends from my hometown constantly texting me and telling me how I’m living the life in LA, but in reality, my life probably isn’t any different from theirs. A major thing with Instagram is getting your followers sucked into the world that your living. You want them to be interested and intrigued, and waiting to see what’s going to be your next post, but trust me, for that one good picture, 75 were taken.
D: Who is your biggest fashion Inspiration?
Stefani: Khloe and Kim Kardashian. I always use to be super uncomfortable about my curves. I have hips; I have an ass, and it really wasn’t until the Kardashians’ came around that I started to feel more comfortable about my body. I definitely learned how to dress because of them. I never use to wear tight clothes, but now I’m all into that. It’s important to find an icon that you can learn from.
D: What is your advice to youngsters starting to pursue their passions through Instagram?
Stefani: Be yourself. I know that sounds so cliché, but most people’s goals on Instagram are to have the most followers and likes and let me tell you, someone, who has a million followers didn’t get there by pretending to be someone they’re not. Their followers like them because it is exactly who they are.
D: What is your favorite Instagram feature and why?
Stefani: I’m going to give you two. My first is that you can see posts you like. A lot of people don’t even know this is a feature, but if you go to settings there is an option for seeing posts you’ve liked. I only just learned this and it changed my life. I’ll always “like” pictures of outfits and hairstyles and can never find the pictures again, but this gives me the ability to find it. The second is the ability to turn off your comments. I will never understand why someone chooses to follow a person and write negative comments under their pictures. People want to see how you live, but the negative backlash can hurt.
D: Which is your personal favorite Instagram photo from your own profile (add a link) and Why?
Stefani: Wow, what a question. but as I look through my page it would have to be one where I’m hugging Khloe Thompson. She’s a nine-year-old girl who started her own charity called Khloe Kares. That picture is completely raw and I was genuinely happy to meet her. It’s probably the realist picture I have on my page.
