Samsung Tab 2 Review | Comparison With Tab 3

People are already frustrated with cumbersome Hangout replacement of Gtalk. If you visit the Hangout app, you will find that there are much more 1 star ratings for Hangout in all of top developer apps. The Tab 2 upgradation to Tab 3 has also been a very disgraceful update in the history of Samsung. There are certain features that they have included in Tab 3 where most users find it missing, but there are certain features that most users find missing in Tab 3 which were in Tab 2 previously. Reducing the weight and height can never be much a factor if you don’t introduce some upgraded and user-friendly features.

Wheres the similarity??

  • Much more reasons are available for epic obnoxious update as they have vast similarities in touch, size and even smell. Have a look at the looks, minute millimeters of height, length and width have been reduced in Tab 3 as compared to Tab 2 with unchanged 7 inch display. 40 grams reductions is the highest achievement for Samsung guys, however, this won’t mean a thing for users as tablet’s size is directly proportional to its daily usability, not weight.
  • 4000 mAh battery is superb for any smartphone user. But when it comes to phablets or tablets, 4000 mAh is way too small as it is consumed in just 1 day in phone log and other apps activity. Good to note that music playback is much more than talk-time. For office use and students’ presentation works, 4000 mAh is not sufficient at all as more than 50% usage is consumed by bright 7 inch display

  • MP3, AAC, WMA,FLAC and WAV are common multimedia formats available. MIDI is replaced by AAC+, eAAC+ and OGG formats in Tab 3
  • 16M colors, Capacitive and Multi Touch and all the sensors are retained in the upgraded version.

Wheres the dis-similarity??

  • Android 4.2.2 was trendy in April 2013 when Tab 3 was released. This is higher than Tab 2 version. Good? Bad? Does it matters? Seriously?

  • Super PLS LCD screen was cool in Tab 2. Astonishingly, there is a simple TFT screen in Tab 3.
  • One very exceptional upgrade feature -> A graphics processor named Adreno 305 is embedded in the upgraded model. Users found a little glitch playing high-end android games and watching high-end blu ray movies. As Tab 3 has introduced increased number of video formats, a graphic processor was necessary.
  • Maximum built-in storage available in Tab 3 is 16 GB as compared to 32 GB in Tab 2. Not a problem at all, we can always purchase a 64GB micro SD card.
  • Glad that autofocus feature is introduced. The camera quality is not flashy in both the models (which is the major reason for “very disgraceful update in the history of Samsung”). In Tab 2, the quality is so poor while capturing an image, that the image is distorted totally while zooming the next level. However, a .5 increase in mega pixel in Tab 3 also doesn’t mean anything.
  • Tab 2 is degraded to Tab 3 with flash enabled feature missing in the browser. The future will be filled with various puzzling questions which will include – “Whether tab 2 or 3 came first?”
  • Another reason for “very disgraceful update in the history of Samsung” -> Document Viewer is absent. No more comments on that because this is called degradation.
  • Old hectic propetriary port was a troublesome for much users in Tab 2. In Tab 3, it is replaced with Micro USB port. Thumbs Up!!
  • You cannot charge your phablet in the previous version while connected to PC with USB. I thank god that at least this feature is available in Tab 3.
