Babajob was founded with the purpose to provide access to better employment opportunities for bettering people’s lives and providing dignified livelihoods.

The Executive team at Babajob is led by Sean Blagsvedt, CEO, Vir Kashyap, COO, Maya Chandrasekaran, Chief of Talent, Bharani Setlur, Chief Business Officer and Rishi Dogra, CMO.
We have been growing exponentially and have over 400 employees that make up the Babajob team.
Who is your target audience? How do you reach out to them?
Our target audience are both the aspiring job seekers who are either looking for their first job or are looking to improve/upscale their present position by making a career move and employers (households, SMEs, Enterprises) looking to hire these job seekers.
We primarily leverage social media (Facebook & Twitter) to reach out to our audience. We also use offline media (TV, Radio, OOH).
What are the facilities available for the users of Babajob?
Although Babajob is a digital platform that evolved through the use of technology, we also cater to both jobseekers and employers by providing an interactive/ human interface – Our IVR system allows job seekers to register with us by just giving us a missed call. Our RSEs (Recruitment Support Executives) work with both job seekers and employers to make the hiring process smooth and easy. They provide support, answer queries, and give guidance along the way.

Who are your competitors and how do you differentiate yourself from them?
We are pioneers in the informal job sector and entry-level segment and have the largest database of over 4.8 million jobseekers and 240,000 employers. We are continuously replacing the traditional channels of job search such as classifieds and references (word of mouth). We understand that the development of a nation such as India cannot take place without the progress of its citizens and employment is a strong catalyst for that.

Babajob is growing exponentially and will continue to make a positive impact on society by improving people’s livelihoods through access to better job opportunities.
What would your advice be to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Put dreams into action. There is no time like the present. It is important to have a grounded foundation with a strong vision and mission. Give back to the community and make sure you are in it for the long-haul.
