Who doesn’t want to grow in life, to be a little more successful than the day before? And TV stars wanting to go big are no different either. While most fail to make it BIG and crash into the ocean of reality, there are some who live the dreamy fairytale of the Tinsel town.

Here is a list of actors who dared to take the big leap.

Fauji to being a Badshah: SRK

Shah Rukh Khan who stated his career as Abhimanyu Rai in the television series Fauji later became the King Khan of Bollywood. With his anti-hero roles and his all-time famous K..K..Kiran in the in initial stages of his career drove Bollywood crazy. Now known as the king of romance in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is considered to be one of the most successful film stars in the world.

The Idiot: R Madhavan

Madhavan is a rank outsider when it comes to movies. His career took from making a hay out of roles in Banegi Apni  Baat, Saaya, Sea Hawks and Ghar Jamai. And then came the big break in the form of Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey, or the original version of Saathiya! His list of successful films include Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Guru, 3 Idiots and Tanu Weds Manu.

The Aryan Puttar: Ayushmann Khurrana

The actor with a cool bag of talents started his career with reality TV series- Roadies.Unlike the previous winner like Rannvijay, who also tried his luck with movies, Ayushmann is now an established actor, singer and event host. Marking his debut with Vicky Donor for which he crooned too, the lady’s man has had a dreamy run at the Box-Office so far, with Dum Laga Ke Haisha surprising everyone.

It sure took him a lot of courage to give up the role that was known in every household. The most desirable beta/pati from Pavitra Rishta television series made a great start at Bollywood with his notable performance in Kai Po Che. With all his movies doing well at the box office so far, the young actor is on the go.

And now he is all set to dazzle the screen playing India’s Poster Boy- MSD.

The actor instantly rose to fame with his television debut Kahiin to Hoga. Though he has been continually appreciated by the critics for his movies right since he made a Bollywood debut with Aamir, he is yet to make a box office hit.

A few more who tried their luck at the silver screen were Pulkit Samrat, Gracy Singh, Shekar Suman, Pankaj Kapoor, Vatsel Seth, Ayesha Takia, Rupa Ganguly, Manish Paul, Barun Sobti, Jai Bhanushali, Prachi Desai, Aditya Roy Kapoor and his brother Kunnal, and R Madhavan. A few were successful, a few failed and a few returned to television. Nevertheless, they tried.
