B R Hills

Biligirirangana Hills or more commonly known as BR Hills is a range of hills located in the South Eastern Karnataka. It is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The hills are home to a diverse species of flora and fauna. It is a great place if you wish to take a weekend off and soak in the beauty and serenity of nature. There is also a temple on the hills (Biligiriranganatha Swamy Temple) which adds to the serenity of the hills and the surrounding areas.
Kudremukh

Kudremukh is a mountain range located in the district of Chikmagalur. Though known mostly for the mining town that it is, Kudremukh is also a picturesque place. Kudremukh which means ‘horse faced’ in Kannada got its name because a particular side of the mountain resembles a horse’s face. After Baba Budangiri and Mullayanagiri hills, the Kudremukh hill is the highest peak in Karnataka.
Maravanthe Beach

Located near Kundapura, Maravanthe is a village as well as a beach. The Maravanthe beach is not just scenic but also a peaceful place with a temple gracing the shores. The Maraswamy temple has three deities that people worship. The eastern side of this beach offers a spectacular view with palm trees, greenery dotting the scenery. It is a great place to spend some time away from the hustle-bustle of city life.
Pattadakal

Pattadakal is a historical site with a lot of temples and other structures of historical importance. It is located in the district of Bagalkot, on the left bank of the river Malaprabha, at a distance of 514 kms from Bangalore. Pattadakal is where the kings of the Badami and Chalukya clans were coronated. It was also the capital of the Chalukya dynasty. Pattadakal is home to around 10 temples which also includes a Jain sanctuary surrounded by a number of small shrines.
